As a wedding photographer, I love seeing how each couple brings their unique touch to their big day. Erin and Steve’s Cork Factory Hotel wedding in Lancaster was a perfect example of this! From Erin’s gorgeous DIY paper flower decor to the stunning industrial-chic venue, everything about this wedding was memorable and heartfelt. Photographing these two and getting to know their quirks and story made it even more special.

Meet the Couple: Erin and Steve

Erin, a first-grade teacher from Delaware, and Steve, from Malvern, share a love of hiking, and their engagement story speaks to that passion. On October 26, 2019, during a hike up Hawk Mountain, Steve proposed to Erin at the summit. She said yes (of course!), but in a funny twist, Erin worried the ring might be too big and slip off on their way down – so Steve put it safely back in his pocket. Since then, their adventures have continued, and they still love spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants, and enjoying cozy nights watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune together.

Erin and Steve’s wedding day at the Cork Factory Hotel was windy, which meant most of our photos took place indoors – but with the venue’s stunning industrial aesthetic, this was a dream! From the rich wooden beams to the rustic chandeliers, Cork Factory Hotel’s ambiance complemented their wedding’s cozy, romantic vibe perfectly.

I started the day capturing Erin’s getting-ready moments with her bridesmaids. One of my favorite shots was Erin by the window, with soft natural light creating a beautiful portrait that felt timeless. Erin and Steve’s first look was another highlight – the joy and love they shared in that moment was palpable, and their embrace made for such a sweet, candid shot. We followed this with some fun shots of the wedding party and family, all set against Cork Factory Hotel’s distinctive brick and wood interiors.

After the ceremony, Erin and Steve’s reception was filled with love, laughter, and some seriously great dancing! Their first dance was a magical moment – that look of love they shared was the kind that makes my heart happy to capture. Then, Erin and her dad shared a heartfelt dance, followed by Steve and his mom, who didn’t hold back from showing off her moves! I love when parents and grandparents join in on the dance floor – it’s always one of the most memorable parts of the evening.

Later, I stole Erin and Steve away for a few nighttime portraits around the Cork Factory Hotel. The venue’s beautiful lighting and industrial textures made for some unforgettable shots of the newlyweds, capturing the magic of their first night as a married couple.
