The setup for the wedding I shot in November was exactly like this. The picturesque and beautiful outdoor ceremony against the waterfront showcased the enchantment of the Pen Ryn Estate wedding.

For the wedding I photographed, the groom used this space for his preparations and even had his first look with the bride here, creating a memorable and intimate moment that was beautifully captured.

The library room is a perfect spot for an intimate first look. The lighting and ambiance make for truly romantic photos. Outside is just a gorgeous. Utilizing the waterfront from the stairway would make for breath taking images during your first look as well. Doing a first look will help allow for more use of the grounds with the Mansion because guests won’t be there and it allows you to truly use all the venue has for your images.

Whether it’s the ceremony site by the river or the sprawling grounds, take advantage of the outdoor spaces for portraits. Even the night time outdoor shots look beautiful. When planned properly this venue can offer a great variety of photos on your wedding day.

First Look: The couple chose to have their first look in the estate’s intimate library room. Creating a private and emotionally charged moment that was beautifully captured.
- Portraits: We started their portrait time outside the mansion. The sun was a little bit of a challenge and it was super windy but we had so much fun with the wedding party and the couple creating these portraits. I used flash to help offset the sunny day because the couple wanted certain backgrounds inter photos. With a little creativity we made it happen even when the sun was trying to challenge us. We did some portraits inside as well. For the family photos we had to get a little creative. We used the front patio and just moved a few tables aside to make for a gorgeous background that was easy for the family to get to.
Ceremony: They held an outdoor ceremony with the Delaware River as their backdrop, utilizing the estate’s picturesque waterfront setting to create a romantic atmosphere.
Reception: The celebration continued in the grand ballroom, where elegant décor and ambient lighting complemented the venue’s classic architecture, providing a stunning setting for memorable
