Gorgeous Lancaster County Wedding Venue
The White Chimneys Wedding venue is this stunning wedding location in Lancaster County. The history behind this beautiful wedding space is fantastic and dates back to the 1700’s. If you have a chance I would highly recommend visiting their website and reading all about it. It’s a unique venue for many reasons but one would be the actual farm animals that roam around. They have horses and long-haired steers who are extremely photogenic and fun to incorporate into photos.
The Ceremony
Leah and Austin’s wedding day was a slightly stormy day. The outdoor ceremony occurred with no rain! Right down to the first kiss is when the rain decided to make an appearance. The outdoor ceremony location has this view overlooking the Lancaster countryside that was insanely picturesque. After the ceremony the clouds and rain came in and to be honest I was pretty excited. Thankfully, we had enough dry time to get the photos we needed. We got to play around with the intense clouds and again the rain during the night portrait.
The Reception
The White Chimneys wedding reception area is this exactly how they describe it “rustic meets elegance.” Wooden walls, laced fabric, string lights, and classy chandeliers run throughout the reception area giving it such a warm and romantic feeling. On the photo side its even extra nice because there’s a small balcony area where we could capture an overall image of the reception as it plays out.
The staff at White Chimneys was great. They took some of the kids and showed them the farm animals and a new litter of puppies. The staff was just as excited about White Chimneys as we were. The knowledge about the venue was passed on to us which gave us a greater appreciation of this Lancaster wedding venue.
The dancing was intense and kept going thanks to Silver Sound Entertainment. The flowers were created by Sweet Peas of Jennersville. Check out a few of my favorites from Leah + Austin’s wedding below.
