Elegance, romance and a gorgeous natural setting combine at the idyllic Pomme Radnor. Located in the heart of Philadelphia’s Main Line, this pretty venue offers a dreamy setting for both ceremonies and receptions, while providing convenience for guests.
Nestled between Wayne and Villanova, this Radnor wedding venue was once home to a restaurant. It has since undergone a transformation, making it a woodsy venue with modern sophistication. Its elegant setting, so far removed from the rumble of Lancaster Avenue, has been home to the boutique Peachtree Catering and Events since 2013. Fine dining meets a gracious atmosphere that’s equal parts romance and rustic.
If French country vibes are what you’re after for your wedding, you can’t go wrong with Pomme Radnor, one of the Main Line’s most sophisticated and elegant venues.
During the warm months, couples can tie the knot in a secluded clearing in a grove of trees, surrounded by soft green foliage. Guests will be enchanted by the gentle bubbling of the creek that winds by the property, while birdsong adds another romantic and woodsy dimension.
Certainly, thanks to its secluded feeling locale, couples have ample spaces to take wedding photos or share a first look, while guests mingle.
Indoors, which can be used for ceremonies and receptions, a stately farmhouse-inspired stone fireplace is juxtaposed by spherical hanging lights that add a cool vibe to the space. Open rafters painted white can be left exposed for a more natural look, but for an ethereal vibe, soft draped fabrics, green foliage or string lights create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
Firstly, the serene sounds of nature greet visitors when they arrive at Pomme Radnor, thanks to its lush green surroundings.
Set amidst a grassy open grove, a custom pergola is the perfect backdrop for couples to exchange vows. Surrounded on one side by trees and the other a semi-circle of white chairs, the outdoor ceremony space is ethereal and yet earthy. The beautiful pergola, with its pretty architectural details and raised platform, can be strung with vines and flowers or made utterly enchanting with sweeps of fabric, though it’s equally eye pleasing on its own.
Afterwards, a swing can be hung from the pergola, creating a picture-perfect spot for the couple to share a private moment.
With soaring ceilings and exposed wooden beams, the ballroom at Pomme Radnor isn’t your typical space.
Furthermore, while spacious and airy, it also feels intimate and cozy. Large windows bring the wonderous natural sights in while providing natural light, perfectly complementing the hardwood floors.
A mix of round or long tables finely set with china and glassware add opulence.
From the moment you set foot on the grounds of Pomme, you feel like you’ve stepped into a new world, one that’s quiet and soft, full of the natural wonders of the world, all neatly tamed.
Crossing over a pond, complete with a cascading fountain and graced by elegant swans, the bridge is as much for utilitarian purposes as it is for pleasure.
Thoughtful railing details strung with lights not only soothe the senses, but make for a dreamy photo op.
Adjoining the ballroom and overlooking the pond is the all-season verandah. Its versatile design means it can be open air during the warm weather, or enclosed for a cozy respite in the cooler months.
Nearby is an indoor cocktail lounge, perfect for signature sips. There’s also a suite for getting ready or touch ups in between the ceremony and reception.
Accommodating up to 200 seated wedding guests, plus a dance floor, Pomme Radnor is a versatile space that can also be set up cocktail-party style, holding 350 guests.
