Sample Wedding Day Timelines
First Look & No First Look
These are rough draft wedding timelines to help guide you in your planning. There are a lot of factors that come in to play when putting your timeline together. We sit down with all of our couples to help guide them to the perfect wedding day timeline. When setting up a timeline, the most important part is creating a day that allows you to truly enjoy the day and reduces your stress. If you’re on the fence about a first look check out our First Look Guide.
Timeline With a First Look
Prep Photos
We'll start with one partner then head over to the other. About an hour each.
12pm - 2:15pmFirst Look
We can set up a private first look or have your friends and family join!
2:15pm - 2:30pmWedding Party Photos
We'll start with the full group shots. Have some fun with the group and then break it down to smaller groups.
2:30pm - 3:00pmCouples Portraits
We're going to go out and tour the place and create some amazing photos together and have fun doing it!
3pm - 4pmBreak for Ceremony
Go enjoy some quiet time alone. It's one of the beautiful parts of doing a first look.
4pm - 4:30pmCeremony
4:30pm - 5:00pmFamily Portraits
We can do some family portraits before the ceremony as well. Another perk of a first look. The amount of time really depends on how large of a list you have.

5:20pm - 10pmTimeline With No First Look

We'll start with one partner then head over to the other. About an hour to an hour and a half each. We'll try to get more done vs a First Look timeline so we don't have to rush during cocktail hour.
1:30pm - 4pmCeremony
4:30pm - 5pmFamily Portraits
We can do some family portraits before the ceremony as well. Another perk of a first look. The amount of time really depends on how large of a list you have.

We'll start with the full group shots. Have some fun with the group and then break it down to smaller groups.
5:15pm - 5:30pmCouples Portraits
We're going to go out and tour the place and create some amazing photos together and have fun doing it!
5:30pm 5:50pmReception
Get ready for introductions. Time to Party!
5:50pm - 10pmEndless Options
These are just options for your wedding day. You can do anything you want and create the perfect timeline that makes sense to you both. The key to a great timeline is allowing time to do the things that you want to do so you don’t feel rushed or stressed. One thing that would change a lot in the above wedding day timelines would be a church ceremony. Those are a lot longer and usually here’s a good amount of time between the ceremony and reception. If you need any help or have questions about your timeline send us an email. We would be more than happy to help out!
